First post related to my summer independent study – the development of some “anchor” demos for use with PBL physics problems in face-to-face courses at University of Delaware. The first obvious thing to do is to take a tour of the grid to see what exists. . . I typed “Physics” into the Places search, and this spot was the first hit. Within Second Life, “physics” has 2 main meanings. . . one the educational connotation I’ll be working toward, and the other the “physics” programmed into prims so that they do things like react to impulses and feel gravity’s force, etc. The board in this image relates to neither directly, but it looks intersting – a prim-creation device.
